Overcompensation

I remembered that I had bought Emma some finger paints a while ago. So I told Clinton to find her a shirt that he doesn't wear anymore that could be her painting shirt. I kept some old newspapers to lay down. I asked Emma if she wanted to paint. She got all excited about it. We had to make a trip to the store, so Emma and I picked out a roll of paper for her to paint on. When we got home, I had her strip out of her clothes and put on her painting shirt. I taped down newspapers to my table to protect it. All the while thinking that the paints I had bought were these...

and yes, I realize it says washable, but I wasn't taking any chances.

(I should have taken a picture of Emma sitting at the well protected table in her shirt waiting to paint, so you could fully understand the lengths I took, but I forgot!)

Then, I went to get the paints out of her room. And realized that I'm such a dork... I had bought these paints...

The "paint" is completely clear and wipes right up! I really should have checked to see what I had before I did all of that! Here are some pictures of Emma painting, some show what an idiot I am, lol. Em had a blast though!

I guess I was expecting a catastrophe!

The shirt was so big on her I used a clip to help her out! LOL!
Her final masterpieces. Modern art?
